Big data might slow down JTA connections

Did you ever wonder why working with big data (the REAL big data) slows down your JTA connection from time to time? During a short Helsinki city trip this month I’ve shot the following picture that may provide some explanation. I’m not sure if this implementation is restricted to Finland or is also available in other European countries. Just leave a comment if you have more information.

It seems there are fallback solutions when current JTA connections are not able to handle data streams (especially the heavyweight ones) and I’m glad there exist JTA  implementations that take care of such issues.
