Eclipse 4.2.1 released with new EGit features

Eclipse Juno SR1/4.2.1 was released and is available for download.

JGit/Git 2.1, the versions that ship with this new release, even features new functionality and improvements:

My favorite new features are:

  • Commit using Ctrl+Enter -> I always used and loved it in the days of of CVS/SVN
  • Egit now shows errors/warnings for your source files in Staging View and Commit Dialog
  • Commit and push is now supported in the Commit Dialog

There’s only one possible conclusion: An update is definitely worth it!
