ECMAScript 6 Delayed To Mid 2015

ECMAScript 6 – the standard for the next iteration of JavaScript – has been delayed to June 2015.
Originally, it was scheduled for a release in 2013, then it was delayed to the end of 2014 and now it is scheduled for mid 2015.

The time until the release will be used for tests and stabilization – the feature set will remain frozen.
For an overview of the planned features, see our blog post ECMAScript 6 – The future of JavaScript.

Some features of ECMAScript 6 are already implemented in recent browser versions – you can see which features are implemented in the unofficial ECMAScript 6 compatibility table.

The work for ECMAScript 7 continues on schedule.
